Job Opening – Bookmobile Manager, Full-Time
The Somerset County Federated Library System (SCFLS) seeks an enthusiastic, service-oriented, self-motivated, hands-on individual to manage day to day operations of Bookmobile services. This includes delivering and checking out library materials to patrons, providing readers advisory services, making patrons aware of digital library resources and services, assisting patrons with basic information needs, and referring patrons to other resources for additional information and assistance as needed. The Bookmobile Manager is the face of the Library System for many patrons who are unable to come to one of the library buildings located throughout the county.
Requirements:
- HS Diploma/GED required.
- Trade School or Associates’ Degree in Education, English, Library Science, or Liberal Arts preferred.
- Less than 1 year related experience required.
- Pennsylvania Library Assistant Certification preferred.
- Experience working with an Integrated Library System (ILS) preferred.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills required.
- Must be self-motivated.
- Valid PA driver license and ability to drive the library van required.
- Acceptable driving record and continuous insurability required.
- PA Criminal Record Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance, and FBI Fingerprint Criminal Record Check required upon offer of employment and when renewals are required.
Starting Salary: $11 per hour.
